Have a Happy Easter at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum
The weather’s too beautiful for kids to spend all week at home! Get out and enjoy spring recess with a fun-filled afternoon at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum.
In this installment of our “School Break” series, families can celebrate the return of warm weather with special spring and Easter related crafts and activities. Learn about the history of the Easter bunny and other spring-time symbols while making your own Peter Cottontail, wooly lamb, and more.
There’s fun for all ages, so mark your calendar to join us on Thursday, April 21, 2011 between 12 PM and 4 PM.
The program is included in regular admission ($5 adults; $4 seniors; $2.50 students ages 2 – 12).
The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is housed in the historic Allan Herschell Company Factory building at 180 Thompson Street, North Tonawanda. This is Women’s History month and what a nice way to celebrate the great women of WNY with a feature article about the women of the Sweet Sixteen Cafe in Lockport.
Read all about it in this quarter’s issue and learn a bit more about the cafe, the owners and the role of the woman in their life – their mom. The article has a very nice photo of her too, and gets into her inspiration in this family affair that is one of the areas unique coffee shops.
You will get a better understanding of why the Sweet Sixteen Cafe is the place to stop for outstanding baked good like their unforgettable cupcakes, cookies and brownies as well as some delicious crepes, soups, quiches, and salads.
And don’t forget the special events at the Sweet Sixteen Cafe that are featured on their website (see the link below) and that are highlighted on Niagara Buzz each month.
