January 23 Annual Meeting held – 18 RHBPA members and 17 guests present.
Treasurers report: Balance as of 12/31/12: $4,929.64
- The need to formulate a budget – Yearly expenses: PO Box, Webpage, Winterfest, flower barrel contest, scholarship fund, Wine & Chocolate Event.
- RHBPA sponsoring a scholarship fund: Greg has been researching how to set it up and welcomes any suggestions. Some good ideas were mentioned. Everyone who commented at the meeting, please contact Greg in writing @ firstname.lastname@example.org. as soon as possible. Greg motioned to set up the RHBPA Scholarship, Vonda Westcott seconded and motion was carried.
- Vendor Fair – There are funds available to have an event to promote our businesses. Patt Fagan and Sarah Reed are gathering info and ideas. It could be held at the Middleport Firehall. Possible date would be March 9. It is free for members, $25 for non-members. More details at our next meeting. **SEE IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW!
