The month of April was busy and exciting at Amy Hanssen Training Center.
The main event for most of the clients was attending the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) horse shows in Hamburg, NY.
A beautiful new Show Complex has recently been built, and it is a venue that horse enthusiasts
from all over are enjoying.
All of the horse and rider teams from Amy Hanssen Training Center at 9063 Chestnut Ridge Road, performed excellently, and tons of prizes were won by all. One of the most exciting parts of each weekend was the Hunter Derby Class.
This class was in the evening, and formal attire was worn by all exhibitors. Wine and cheese
events took place after the awards ceremony.
Several of our horses placed in the top ten each weekend. The big excitement however, was that Virginia Beaton and He’s Got The Details, a horse owned by Amy Hanssen , won BOTH weekends.
The same horse was then awarded with the Grand Champion for both weekends combined. The Reserve Champion was awarded to Virginia Beaton and Millers Review, owned by The Fike family.
Beautiful prizes were given to both of these horses. Everyone works so hard to prepare for these shows and it showed at this April event.
We are proud to say that all were fantastic. Once again, the April QH Shows were successful and greatly enjoyed!
